Self-service seat selection system for JR West HARUKA trains is available now

In mid-April, the self-service train seat selection system developed by Tripodeck Technology was launched.

Traditional tickets with seats are not conducive to wholesale distribution, because the seats are limited, and it is difficult for OTA and other sales channels to obtain real-time seat information.

In order to meet the convenience of clients to achieve the ticket distribution, we developed the self-service seat selection function for guests. First, we simplify the traditional ticket into the general electronic ticket, no special restrictions on seats, so that it is very convenient for distribution. Then, when guests arrive at the station, they can select the train and get a seat (reserved seat) through the self-service machine. Guests can choose from a number of trains during the day, if there are no seats available on the next train, they can travel in an ordinary car (non-reserved seat).
